So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

Friend of Yasu…

Over the past 13+ years, my humble little Mac app built a strong following of loyal users much like yourself. Because of it, I've gained many online acquaintances & friends, and I've been thrilled beyond words to have seen it featured by magazines and user groups alike.

But the sad truth is, I just don't have the time or desire to continue working on the project anymore. My personal and professional lives have moved into completely different areas of focus, leaving this one totally neglected.

So, in all fairness to the users, my family, and myself, I've decided the time has come to officially announce I've stopped developing Yasu.

Yes… It's really over this time.

If you'd like to download one of the versions, here they are:

There is no support for any of these downloads. You use them entirely at your own risk, and there is no guarantee version 2.9.1 will work with versions of Mac OS X later than 10.10 in the future.

I know this decision may disappoint many, and might even piss off others. I get that, especially if you made a donation somewhere along the way — which I'm very grateful for. If you're one of those who feels let down, all I can say is I'm sorry if this news comes as a shock or disappointment. But, I think it's far better to make my intentions plain instead of saying nothing and just letting Yasu die. I hope you agree.

To those who have been so supportive over the years, I can't say thank you enough. You've made it an epic journey through a season in my life I thought I've never get to have — being a Mac shareware developer. For that, I'm eternally grateful. I'll look back on those years with fondness well into my old age.

So, there you have it. My heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made Yasu possible.
